In craps, if a dice falls out of the table during the game, players tend to consider it a sign of bad luck and, therefore, the same dice should not be used again. However, if the casino player throwing the dice wants to use the same dice he can but he must shout “same dice” immediately so that the dice are not replaced by new casino ones.
Some craps players think that the mere fact of using the word “seven” is enough to invocate the number and, as a consequence, cause all the bets in the table to lose. Some players even use the phrase “big red” to refer to the seven but without using the word.
Craps players also consider it bad luck to pass the dice from one hand to the other before throwing the dice. Some casinos have even banned this action explaining that there are many chances someone throws the dice accidentally interrupting the craps game.
The main superstition of roulette players is that there are certain tendencies in roulette. For example, that five red numbers come out. The truth is that unless the roulette is modified (which is unlikely in casinos) the results that came out before have no influence on the results that will come out.
